Maggie's Dog House

Maggie's Dog House was founded in 2005 by Kim Sylvester. She was watching the Today Show while getting ready for her stressful corporate job when a segment on gourmet dog treats caught her attention. After extensive research of the dog market she decided to quit her job and take the plunge into the pet industry. Kim started to bake her own decadent treats and sell them during the holiday season in malls. This later lead to wholesaling to local pet specialty stores. 

  While searching for more exposure in the South Shore, Kim realized that there was a gap in the Hingham area and decided to open her own shop. Maggie’s Dog House would soon feature not only their award winning treats, but also various high-end dog accessories and food. After one year Kim had moved her shop down the road to larger location and now carries even more merchandise than before, making Maggie's a well rounded dog boutique and bakery.  
  People ask all the time "Who is Maggie?".  Maggie was half-golden retriever, half-yellow lab and a beloved member of the family.  When Maggie past away in 2005 soon after the decision to start the business it seemed only fitting to name the business after her. 
  In 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017 Maggie's was recognized for its adorable treats and awarded accordingly. Maggie's Dog House sincerely thanks all of the loyal and supportive customers for helping us win these awards. We couldn't have done it without you!
