2013 - It all started with a flock of California White chicks and grew to include Silver Appleyard ducklings, Swedish ducklings, Blue Slate turkeys & a mix of geese.2014 - After a year of buying feed at TSC we looked for more economical ways to feed our flock and began mixing our own layer ration. We were soon selling it in small quantities to other backyard chicken farmers.2015 - Selling poultry feed and whole grains was the original plan, but soon after making the decision to sell feed full time we saw demand for horse feed. This led us to partner with Poulin Grain and Arnold’s Feed & Grain Service. Our Grand Opening was that July.2016 - We built a cabinet incubator and hatched our own chicks, ducklings, turkeys and quail but our flow of little hatchlings wasn’t enough for our customers so we teamed up with Cackle, a hatchery out of Missouri who could supply us with the quantity and variety of chicks we needed.2017 - We branched out quite a bit in terms of pet food this year, but dog food was our most requested product leading up to 2017. Other products like treats and toys are also beginning to fill our store. The demand for hay and straw has skyrocketed this year and we’re excited to partner up with more local farmers and expand this aspect of our business to accommodate more customers next year.
