A NOTE FROM THE OWNERS OF THE HOUNDSTOOTH We're Jessica and Christopher — the owners you’ll usually find right behind the counter at The Houndstooth Bakery! Running a small, local business isn’t always easy. Some days are busy, some days are tiring, and some days come with worry. We often hope people know how much it truly means when you choose to shop locally and walk through our doors. So we wanted to share a little about who we are. We don’t just own The Houndstooth — we run it ourselves, every day. Outside of the shop, we also care for 93 rescued animals at our farm sanctuary. Many of them came from difficult situations and are now living safe, peaceful lives. Caring for animals has always been at the center of what we do and who we are. We listen to our community. When you asked for expanded hours, we were happy to make that happen. This shop exists for the people and pets who visit us, and we’re grateful to be a small part of your daily lives. We do our best to stay competitive with larger retailers while still offering products we truly believe in. We’re thoughtful about what we carry, and we choose quality because your pets’ well-being matters to us. And truly — we love this work. We love greeting familiar faces, learning new names, and getting to know your pets. We love celebrating milestones, sharing smiles, and being part of this wonderful community.
