About Us

Allow me to introduce you to The Hipster Hound family. I’m Tonya, and my husband, Nick, and I own the business. Together with our daughter, Lucy, we’ve always dreamed of starting our own dog related business. We especially wanted to open a doggy daycare and boarding, grooming and boutique facility to meet the total needs of The Hipster Hound. To make our dream come true, we started small with creating our own line of all-natural dog treats and grooming products in January of 2015. We sold our products at various festivals, farmers’ markets and retail outlets throughout Savannah, GA. As we got to know our customers, our treat company expanded into pet care with The Hipster Hound at Home Pet Sitting Services.

Through mutual dog-loving friends, we were introduced to Skip from Coastal K9 Services, who owned a dog boarding and daycare service from his home. Skip was planning to retire and had been searching for a trusted and suitable pet care company to refer his clients. With this opportunity, we decided it was time to once again expand The Hipster Hound into doggy daycare and boarding. We opened our first facility in March of 2016.

Services

Boarding

Don't think of this as "boarding", but rather your dog's "Home away from Home". With individual boarding kennels in a climate-controlled, secure environment, your dog will feel right at home.

Daycare

For more social dogs that may have a tad too much energy to be kept in a house all day, we offer The Hipster Hound Doggy Daycare. We provide an atmosphere where your "dog can be a dog", play with new and old friends, and just have fun - all in a secured environment. Your Hipster Hounds are closely monitored throughout the entire day by our highly trained team of Hipster Handlers. After just one visit, your Hipster Hound will be begging to come back the next day.

Pet Sitting

We understand not all dogs do well or want to be in a social environment with other dogs. They enjoy the comforts of home. This is why we offer @ Home Pet Sitting Services.

Dog Wash

Our self-serve dog wash is located at our 1 Diamond Causeway location

Veterinary Clinic

Occasional Saturdays from Noon-4pm at our 1 Diamond Causeway location. Vaccines, microchipping, exams, heartworm testing, etc. Please call for dates!

Home Delivery

From our store to your door! If you live on Skidaway Island take advantage of our FREE delivery service. We can deliver anything we carry in our store. If we don’t carry it, we can order it for you. If you prefer, we can deliver your pet’s food on an interval of your choosing - no more scrambling if you run out of food. For frozen/refrigerated items, we require someone to be home to receive or access to a garage refrigerator/freezer. Call us for more information.
