About Us

Well Bred in Chester, founded in 2001, is the oldest NJ pet boutique. In 2013 we decided to focus on what makes the biggest difference in our pets' lives - healthy, species appropriate nutrition. Our mission is to make sure all neighborhood pets have access to healthy nutritious foods. This is our passion and whatever we offer you, is not because we were instructed to do it by the corporate (we don’t have a corporate to tell us what to do!) nor to make a better margin on those products. It’s because we think it’s a right healthy choice for your pet! We not only sell what is popular but we do monitor the market to make sure we work only with ethical manufacturers who put in the food quality ingredients and who do what they say they will do.

Services

Grooming

We offer full grooming services and self serve wash in our store in Livingston. For an appointment with one of our groomers, please call the store at (973) 992-5614. The Self-Wash is first come, first serve - no appointment necessary!

At Well Bred, we take your pet well being seriously and we only hire experienced groomers who will give the same care and love to your pet as they would to their own.

We don’t want your pet to sit all day in the crate, therefore we don’t do morning drops and late pickups. We ask you to bring your pet for the appointment and pick it up within 45 minutes from finishing the service.

Dog Wash

Self serve wash is available in our store in Livingston. It offers premium Isle of Dogs shampoos and conditioner, high-end velocity dryer, ear wipes, brushes and combs, luxury towels and more! For more information, please call the store at (973) 992-5614. No appointment necessary.

Pet Adoption

We host many pet adoptions in our stores - check our Facebook for details and dates.

Bakery

Our gourmet bakery features healthy, tasty treats for your dog made from the same ingredients used to bake human cookies. They taste great and we should know…….we have tried all of them.
