About Us

Brown Dog Bakery opened in may of 2005. We are locally owned and operated. We truly are a Ankeny Original! My husband and I still live here and also my Daughter Laura her husband and grandchildren. We love offering really beautiful specialty dog treats. The bakery cookies are by far what I enjoy the most! We have stocked only holistic products since we opened in 2005. I believe that what you feed matters! We also strongly believe in adoption, so we host on the first Saturday of the month a adoption event from 11:00-1:00 with AHeinz57. On every third Thursday we do a "Yappy Hour" for owners to be able to socialize with their dogs in a fun safe environment.
