About Us

We're a locally-owned premium pet supplies retailer located in “Downtown” Jacksonville, Maryland in Paper Mill Village (use 3336 Paper Mill Rd, Phoenix, MD for GPS). We partner with devoted pet parents like you to provide the best possible care for your pets. Our focus is on providing food, treats, and supplements that are healthy and biologically appropriate, and are produced in an ecologically sustainable, and socially responsible manner. We also carry unique toys, leashes, collars, and other accessories. If you can find a product in a big box store, chances are you won't see it at Scratch and Sniff! Whenever possible, we seek partnerships with small to mid-sized family owned businesses, with an emphasis on local. Let us help you bring joy and health to your beloved fur babies!

Services

Dog Wash

Our self-serve dog-washing stations take all the mess out of bathing your dog. With our clean, easy-to-use, stainless-steel tubs, you will never have to wait to bathe your dog. Each dog-washing tub can handle dogs up to 230 pounds.
A sturdy ramp leads your dog into the tub with no fear.

We supply the towels, blow dryers, and rubber aprons to keep you dry and clean.
You supply the shampoo and the labor.
Just $15.00 per dog.

Pet Adoption

We partner with local rescues and the community to promote adoption. We always have an adoptable pet or two in the store.

Curbside Pickup

Too busy to come in, or just have your hands full? While we always prefer to have you visit with us in the store,
we understand pet parents don’t always have the luxury of time! Scratch and Sniff is pleased to offer “curbside pickup”.
Call us during normal business hours (at least 30 minutes before closing if possible) and let us know what you need. We will take your order over the phone, and have it ready for you. When you pull up in front of the store, call us, and we will bring your order to your car!
