We are proudly Canadian and grateful to serve the Annapolis Valley region. We are a member of the largest Canadian-owned pet specialty retail family but we are locally owned and operated.

Our store opened in 2007 and was purchased by local resident Jane Hewlin Payne in April 2011. Jane has a lifelong passion for health, fitness, and her two cats, Sandy and Finnegan; joining the Global Pet Foods family was a perfect fit. Global Pet Foods New Minas has a passionate and knowledgeable team of pet owner Associates who have a thirst for learning and take great personal satisfaction in meeting the needs of pets and pet parents.

We offer a large selection of natural and holistic solutions for your pets needs: food, treats, supplements, shampoo, grooming tools, dental products, toys, carriers, crates, beds, clothing, leashes, collars, and the list goes on and on.

We are keenly aware of the needs of the larger pet rescue community. Global Pet Foods’ national "Show Us Your Heart" campaign takes place annually in February and has raised nearly $1,250,000.00 to date. These funds have been directed to 120 pet rescues and shelters across Canada. Global Pet Foods New Minas has proudly donated over $2,000.00 to the SPCA King's Branch the past several years.
