About Us
Concord Pet started in 1978 out of a trailer at Larry's Mobile. Originally, the Mutschler Family was looking for a way to feed the family horses. In 1981 Larry Mutschler opened his first retail location on Concord Pike in Wilmington, Delaware. There was only one employee in a 1,000 sq ft. building. This building still exists today as storage for the Concord Pike location. Originally Larry had two partners - his brother and a good friend. The company grew to 9 locations by 1998.
Today Larry solely owns the company and has grown to 29 locations from Princeton, NJ to Salisbury, MD. He was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware just like Concord Pet. For over 36 years the company has been locally owned and operated and we at Concord Pet know what that means to our customers.
At Concord Pet, we feel the need to help our customers as if they are family. We strive to be the best in the area, from carrying bags to hiring a knowledgeable staff. Please feel free to stop in at Concord Pet, where you and your pet will be part of our family!

Home Delivery
Customers can also use the website/app Instacart to place an order and have their items delivered to their door the same day through Instacart
Curbside Pickup
Customers can now call ahead and place their order with the store and when they arrive a Concord Pet employee will bring their items to the car!
